North Yorkshire Police is now recruiting Special Constables - volunteer police officers who play a vital role in keeping our communities safe.

This is a unique opportunity to serve your local area, develop new skills, and gain valuable experience in policing. As a Special Constable, you’ll wear the same uniform, hold the same powers (excluding taser), and work alongside regular officers across the county.

📍 Location: Force-wide across North Yorkshire 

🕒 Commitment: 16 hours per month (voluntary) 

📅 Training starts: 2026 

🗓️ Applications close: 9am, Tuesday 30 September 2025
